PORTSMOUTH – Black Life Issue Seacoast and Robinwood Heart will rejoice the second annual gala Night of Black Excellence on Saturday, Oct. 16 at the Saltonstall Farm in Stratham.

Performers will include BluePrint Venture, Led by final year’s gala speaker Deo Mwano, the group’s performance will consist of 8 correct-to-lifestyle brief tales of hope and encouragement that are woven together by visible storytelling applying dance and tunes.

Akrobatik, a hip hop performer from Boston, will perform at the second annual Night of Black Excellence gala on Oct. 16.

The second performer will be Akrobatik, a hip hop performer from Boston, Massachusetts, who has been highlighted in tv collection like HBO’s “The Wire” and well-known video clip online games. His past album, “Designed to Previous,” was rated by Spin as one of the 40 finest hip-hop albums of 2014.

Exeter’s own Doug York, owner of 7North Espresso Co., will be at the rear of the turntables.

The keynote speaker for the evening will be Grace Kindeke, who is the Method Coordinator for American Mates Provider Committee and a bachelor of arts student of Africana Scientific tests and Sociology at UMASS Boston. She was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, immigrated to the U.S. as a toddler and grew up in Manchester, N.H. She is a fierce, highly effective advocate for justice and liberation, grounding her function in a Black feminist, African-futurist and anti-oppression practice.
